Getting started

  1. Install Mint Badges from the Shopify App Store and open it from your Shopify admin.
  2. Click a label type (Sale, New, Low stock, Sold out, Bestseller or Custom), adjust the text, style and rules while watching the live preview, and click Save. Saving publishes it to your store straight away.
  3. On the app's home page click Open app embeds. Your theme editor opens on App embeds — switch on Product labels and click Save.
  4. Create a trust block under Trust badges, then click Add trust block: the Trust badges block is added to your product page. Drag it under the buy buttons and save.
  5. Optional: add the Product labels (inline) block above your product title or price to show the same labels as a row.

How each label decides

  • Sale: the product has a compare-at price above its price. {percent} is the biggest discount among variants that can be bought, rounded down (19.99 instead of 24.99 shows −20%). If variants have different discounts, your "Up to" text is added.
  • New: the product was created in Shopify within the number of days you set.
  • Low stock: every variant is tracked by Shopify and set to stop selling when out of stock, and the total quantity is between 1 and your threshold. {qty} is that real quantity.
  • Sold out: no variant can be bought.
  • Bestseller: the product is in the collection you choose (for example an automated collection sorted by best selling).
  • Any label can be narrowed to collections and tags; Pro adds product type, vendor, price range, excluded tags and schedules.
  • Labels higher in your list win when a product matches more labels than your "most labels on one product" setting.

Labels aren't showing?

  • Check the Product labels app embed is switched on in your live theme (Online Store → Themes → Customize → App embeds).
  • Check the label is Active, shows on product pages and/or cards, and (on Pro) that its schedule includes now.
  • On the Free plan your first 3 labels without Pro features are shown.
  • Price-range rules apply to shoppers browsing in your store's currency. Product cards outside collection and search pages use the first 50 products of each collection in your rules.
  • If your theme uses unusual product card markup, open the app embed's Theme compatibility settings and adjust the product card and image selectors — or email us and we'll send you the right values.

Billing

Pro is billed through Shopify at $4.99/month after a 7-day free trial. Cancel anytime from the app's Plans page or by uninstalling the app — you won't be charged again. If you cancel, your labels and trust blocks are kept; labels beyond the first three, Pro features and extra trust blocks switch off.
